Coach
Yuki Uemura is a judo 2nd Dan Black Belt in Japan and Australia. Yuki is passionate about having devoted her life to judo since she was just three years old!
Yuki has been coaching judo for more than thirteen years and has had extensive coaching experience, having spent nine years coaching in Japan. After coming to Australia Yuki has been coaching for the last four years. Yuki has been judged in many competitions both in Australia, and internationally and has been praised for her excellent judo technique.
Yuki was one of the NSW junior state coaches since 2019. Her students won school nationals, international open in Sydney, ACT and QLD.
Some of the highlights of Yuki’s extensive Judo career:
* Gold in Japan High School National Championships in 2007
* Practicing Judo Therapist and Sports Trainer in Japan
* Personal Trainer in Australia
* ASCA strength conditioning coach level 1
In 2019 Yuki took eleven Judo NSW juniors to Japan for 3 weeks on a judo training camp and as you could imagine it was very successful.
At UTS Judo, Yuki teaches traditional Japanese judo to our students, her ultimate plan is a future kids training exchange between the UTS Judo Australian dojo and her former training dojo in Japan.
We are so grateful that we have found Yuki, and that she agreed to join the UTS Judo teaching team.
